Cabernet Grapes
I grew up in wine country in Sonoma County California, and my parents and brother still farm wine grapes, so it seems natural that I should sandblast the Cabernet Grapes. They have a very interesting leaf pattern that I can transfer to glass, giving it reality with depth and detail. The grapes are sandblasted one at a time to allow me to shadow and give the bunches a fullness that the color of the glass fills with juice.
The color of this impressive vase is a very nice red wine color which is perfect for grapes.
20" tall with grape leaves cut-away around the lip leaving the serrated edges of the leaves exposed.
vase.
